User Guides¶
We will start adding guides and tutorials here on how to use the services created within the WarmWorld Easier module. The core feature that enhances findability is the SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog (STAC), which allows you to search for data based on metadata such as spatial and temporal extent, variables, and data provider. STAC is an open specification, and several tools are available for working with STAC catalogs. Furthermore, STAC is based on JSON, making it machine-readable and easy to integrate into workflows.
The second aspect focuses on data access services. High-resolution Earth System Model (ESM) data is often stored on High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems and is not easily accessible to users. The ongoing development of the Zarr standard, which can be served over HTTP(s), is making new ways of accessing data possible and standard.
